I am delighted to introduce myself as the Head of St Mark’s Hall Nursery School.

The benefits of a high-quality nursery education are well-documented and help to form the foundations for a happy and fulfilling school life. Each child is unique and should be given time and encouragement to grow and learn at their own pace, joining activities when they are ready to do so.

We provide a caring and stimulating environment for all children; recognising the importance of staff, parents/carers and children working in partnership to ensure the best possible start for children. St Mark’s Hall values its children equally and strives to build on their strengths and overcome any limitations.

The concept of learning through play is often underestimated – personal fulfilment, a positive self-belief, and academic achievement are, I believe, a natural progression from play, and there is no better way to learn than through enjoyment and fun. Children at the school are encouraged to be inquisitive, creative and free-spirited, yet respectful to the world and others around them through their manners and behaviour.

Children spend many years in formal education. It is only right, therefore, that their first experience of schooling is one where they can explore and thrive.
